Spoiler follows!
Still at work, but apparently Carrie won!
Pool wrapup to follow in the comments once I get home. Talk amongst yourselves!
Right. Umm, predictions go here!
(Sockgirlie's out of town, but has left instructions to continue her streak of betting that Carrie will win the title.)
Spoilers follow!
(Oh, and by request... in addition to the spreadsheet link below, there's an HTML version here.)
This show mostly consists of video clips of the contestants in their hometowns, followed by a live performances of one of the songs they did last night. (Vonzell and Bo go with their own picks; Carrie sings Clive's.)
Finally, we get to the results.
Going home: Vonzell.
Heather gets 4 points; Sockgirlie and I get 3; Jesse, Mo, and TeKay get 2.
Let's try making this thread ahead of time for a change. Pool people, post predictions when appropriate.
(Oh, and the spreadsheet is here.)
Spoilers ahoy!
No bottom two this week: straight on to the results!
Going home: Anthony
TeKay gets 3 points, Mo and I get 2 points apiece, Heather gets 1 point.
So let me see if I have this straight... two years after being thrown off the show, Corey Clark is claiming that Paula Abdul gave him advice, a cell phone, new clothes, and some sweet, sweet loving back in the day. It's a complete coincidence that he's going public with this just as he's releasing his solo album, which happens to have a song about the whole affair.
You know, I can't imagine why anybody would doubt his word...
Spoilers follow!
We begin with a group performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water," capped by the finalists giving Paula flowers. No explicit mention is made of tonight's much-hyped Primetime Live report, but it's obviously on their minds.
Ryan informs Anthony that he can have a seat on the couch, but conspicuously fails to say that this means he's safe. Vonzell is told to stay on the stage, to scattered boos. Scott is sent to the couch, and is visibly relieved, not having grasped what's going on yet. Bo is told to stay on stage, and by this point the audience has clearly gotten the idea, which is confirmed when Carrie is told to stay on stage too. Sure enough, this week's bottom two are Scott and Anthony.
Scott and Anthony each sing. I think the latter is better, but neither is terrific.
Going home this week: Scott!
I'll do the math later. :-)
(Edited to add: Heather and TeKay get 2 points, I get 1.)
If I'm gonna keep staying out late on Tuesday nights -- and I probably am -- I need to start posting these before I leave. Also, I need to make sure I have a blank tape in the VCR. (Thank goodness for BitTorrent.) Anyway, predictions go here.
