Wow. That was interesting. It's a little sad and weird when Federov is the best one of the night. What the hell was up with Bo's first song? He could have ripped that shit up! he sounds just like Travis Tritt - but he looked like he didn't want any part of it. BOO! Glad to see he showed up for the second song. Let's try this:
1. Carrie
2. Bo
3. Anthony (long shot)
4. Vonzell
I'm with you on that one!
1. Carrie
2. Bo
3. Anthony
4. Vonzell
I don't know what the heck is going on in Vonzell's personal life to make her the wreck she was last night, but I am scared for her. The way I see it, this could have won her votes, or lost them. I know, that sounds really dumb typed out, but I can't think of another way to word it! Anthony impressed me last night, except for the fact that he did the same second song as Carrie. Pathetic.
Posted by: Jesse at May 11, 2005 1:36 PMI genuinely think it could be anyone but Bo going home tonight. So I will go with the shock result and say:
1. Bo
2. Vonzell
3. Anthony
4. Carrie
Who knows!?
Posted by: mo pie at May 11, 2005 2:09 PMCarrie: I thought the second song was MUCH better than the first song. She was just this side of off tempowise during SIN WAGON. IF YOU DON'T KNOW ME BY NOW is one of my favorite songs ever.
Both of Anthony's songs sucked, bleah.
1. Bo
2. Carrie
3. Vonzell
4. Anthony
Jesse: We don't actually know whether Carrie or Anthony chose the song first, unless I missed something. (The order of performance is determined by the producers after the rehearsal earlier in the day.) And there's precedent: Josh Gracin -- of all people -- upstaged Clay Aiken two years ago when they both sang "To Love Somebody."
My problem with "Sin Wagon" is that Amy Adams hit that one out of the park last year, and Carrie's version just didn't measure up. Although -- like most of the arrangements this week -- it was considerably slower, which may well be a factor. (At least they let her say "mattress dancing"; Amy substituted "crazy dancing.")
Anyway. Very tough call this week. I'm torn between thinking that Anthony's number is up, despite a strong finish last night, and thinking that somebody else is going to go by the wayside this week... and the demographics are so different that it's hard to predict who.
But here goes:
1. Bo
2. Vonzell
3. Carrie
4. Anthony
1. Carrie
2. Bo
3. Vonzell
4. Anthony
Shmuel,
Yeah... I know, but I don't think that the people running the show should have allowed that, as I don't think that when there are so few contestants it should have been allowed before. *shrug*
Anthony sang second, so he got the brunt of my frustration. Teehee.
