In last week's entry, I forgot to mention at least two possible reasons why I'd be experimenting with crossdressing, so I might as well do so now. The first is that perhaps I'm finally getting around to the teenage rebellion phase I never actually got around to when I was a teenager. (There's probably some truth to this, actually.) The second is simply that women get all the good clothes. (And there's a lot of truth to this one.)

You learn something else new every day. I had had the impression that screen savers became really popular just at the moment that they became obsolete, VGA monitors not being susceptible to screen burn-in the way monochrome and early color monitors were. But there's this Windows 2000 log-in box that's onscreen at all the computers in the lab whenever somebody isn't using a given computer, and, sure enough, on both this system and the one I used yesterday, it's a bit visible even when it isn't supposed to be there. It's a fairly subtle effect at this point, but definitely there. Live and learn.
