4:00 PM:

I'm in Michigan, life is good on the whole, and my siblings are bringing all my stuff up on Sunday. Including my computer, without which my access to the 'Net is sporadic at best. I'm typing this from a campus computer lab, which I've been making my way to once a day so far. And I've gotta run now. Have a good weekend!

9:39 PM:

Oh, brother. Too much going on, no time to write.

Briefly: I leave for Michigan on Wednesday. That is, in about 42 hours. I'm in the middle of packing, and I have a bunch of loose ends still to tie up here in New York.

Just to add to the fun, I was typesetting a newsletter for a charitable organization here, and I'd thought I'd finished it this past Thursday night, but I was awoken this morning (after only three hours of sleep) with the information that, contrary to what they'd thought, the printer couldn't handle a six-page newsletter; it had to be either four or eight. So the rest of today has been spent expanding the thing to eight pages. Fun.

Tomorrow, I continue packing, do a bunch of errands at my former school and elsewhere, and attend my cousin's wedding, at which I will be expected to be enthusiastic and energetic.

And from there to the final, final bits of packing, I imagine, and then to the plane. And my computer's not gonna arrive until a couple of days later, so it might be awhile until my next entry. Sorry about that.

Complete aside: who knew the first celebrity escribitionist worthy of the name would turn out to be Wesley Crusher?
