Tired. Yesterday, I left my apartment around 10:40 AM, took the bus to the Bronx Zoo, spent a few hours there with Elaine, took a couple of trains to New Jersey, saw a perfectly awful movie with Jen, and eventually made my way back to my apartment, arriving just a few minutes before 2 AM. I may have gotten as much as six hours of sleep; it's hard to be sure. And now I've gotta run out and do some shopping, 'cause I'm having a couple of people over for dinner tonight, and I recklessly promised to cook, rather than simply ordering a pizza, and I need to get some supplies that I couldn't get yesterday 'cause I was out socializing and seeing stuff. Obviously, there's plenty to write about, and I may even get to doing so once the dust settles. Monday, June 11, 2001
And so, this morning, my government murdered Timothy McVeigh. Pardon me if I'm not feeling very proud to be an American today. |
