A Short Message

I'm short on both sleep and time again. Sundown is right around the corner, and I've gotta get ready. But I didn't want to go two days without an entry, so let's see what I can whip up really quickly.

In a nutshell, I was up 'round the clock on Tuesday night, on grounds that, despite being tired, I couldn't quite sleep. Then I would have gone to sleep in the morning, but I was meeting a friend and his wife for lunch. (I'd thought we were meeting later in the day, actually, but okay). So I did, and then they came back to my apartment and I played DJ for a couple of hours, playing much of Running With Scissors, followed by a blitz of songs from all over the place, mostly comedic.

And my brother unexpectedly called from Israel, which was nice, and then they left, and I stayed up a bit longer, and finally went to sleep at 8 PM.

And then I woke up at 3:30 AM, and I spent a few hours on the MUD I usually frequent, mostly occupied with one long conversation, and then... umm, what did come next?

Said my morning prayers, right, and eventually went out and returned some videos and went to the bank and got a bank check for a CD-ROM drive I won on eBay and mailed it out and went to the library and found out it was closed for Christmas and went to the discount store where I sometimes get my tea and bought myself a feather pillow thus fulfilling a long-held ambition and why aren't I using any commas in this sentence I don't know it's very distracting even if I am very tired it's no excuse and well anyway on the way back I got sucked into the evil remaindered bookstore and bought three books and then made my way home.

Ummm. You know, when I started writing this entry, I figured that anything would be better than nothing, but now I'm not so sure.

Lemme leave you with my current answering machine message, then, and I'll be off. (It was written during Indian History class a few weeks ago, and recorded a few days ago.) Happy holidays, y'all.
