Do the ends justify the means? |
Monday, December 20, 1999 Done! As I type this, it is 6:29 AM, Tuesday morning. I have just finished my overdue Women's Studies homework, and e-mailed it off to my professor. I am not sure I did so in time. Or, rather, I know it's late by any margin, but I'm not sure if she'll accept it now anyway, or if she's already done with her grading for the course. I suspect -- I hope -- I'm just under the wire, but I'll find out, I guess. "Hail Holy Queen" has been playing continuously for the past five hours or so. It helped. Anyway, while I wasn't able to address everything I wanted to in the homework, at least it's done. At this point, either I've screwed up my grade entirely, or not, but it's finished. Over. Thank God. My vacation begins.
Except that I wanted to do one last bit of work for the English Department this morning, and then I'm supposed to be cleaning out my closet in Far Rockaway today, so I can get all my stuff back and the family can move out. And... But I'm zonked now, y'know. Hmmm. Maybe I'll grab a four-hour nap, then call the English Department and see if they could still use me to schlepp supplies across the campus, and then take it from there. With any luck, you'll be seeing some better entries in the next few weeks. I'm rather looking forward to that, too.
