Lottery, n.: A tax on people who are bad at math. |
Thursday, July 8, 1999 Catch-Up: Cop-Out I wrote the second issue of the camp paper today, using my father's system to do so. Somehow or another, I even managed to get the thing done in time, dropping it off at the printer shortly before closing time, before heading back to my apartment. The clerk taking the order seemed not to be incredibly good at math, actually requiring a calculator to work out 1100 times 6, but I shrugged that off, along with the fact that the total cost came out to about five bucks less than it had the previous week, even though the orders were identical. I'm foreshadowing, of course.
[Note: Okay, that's it. I just saw Columbine's latest entry, and I simply have to skip ahead to the "current" entry, after which I expect to go to sleep, so I can write the fourth issue of the paper tomorrow. I'll be filling in the remainder from there, which may require me to mess with the index page a bit. No help for it, though...]
