Bridging the Gap VI: Recipe

Corn Flakes

Ingredients:
Kellogg's Corn Flakes
Milk

Pour Kellogg's Corn Flakes into a bowl. Pour milk over corn flakes, until milk is visible under the top layer of flakes.

Go away and do something else for the next ten minutes.

The above step is crucial, but often ignored. The corn flakes will be crying out for you to eat them. Harden your heart. Be patient. The full flavor of Kellogg's Corn Flakes does not come out until they're properly soggy.

Once sogginess is achieved, eat. Savor. Enjoy.

Additional corn flakes and milk may be added as needed, to make them come out even.

(In the absence of Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Post Toasties may be substituted. Toasties have an utterly different taste, which lacks the complexity and subtlety of Kellogg's mix of flavors, but they're not bad on their own terms. Under no circumstances are generic or store brands to be used. Better to chew on the box.)
