Laugh Track

They've managed to find somebody with a laugh more annoying than that of Elmo and Zoe combined.

(Zoe, for the uninitiated, is Elmo's friend on Sesame Street. Written to have an emotional age half a year younger, and designed to compliment his color scheme. She's actually not bad on her own, but Elmo brings out the worst in her, immaturity-wise. But I digress.)

See, The Tonight Show has been featuring the quest of this woman who wanted to get a hug from all the major presidential candidates. On tonight's show, she finally completed the list, with Al Gore. This took place in an excruciating video clip, that probably lasted about five minutes, but felt like an eternity, largely because she laughed every few seconds.

I can't even begin to describe it. It's this low pitched-- actually, now that I think of it, it's kind of like Pat's laugh from "It's Pat," only worse. (I think. I've only seen one segment of the SNL sketch in question, and that was some time back.)

Okay, so I can be as petty as anyone else at times...
